Source Pathfinder Impossible Magic
Cast One Action
Range 30 feet
Target 1 creature
Duration 1 minute
Saving Throw Will

You implant a thought in your target's mind that resembles an authority figure in their life, influencing how they feel about you. The target attempts a Will save.

Critical Success The target is unaffected.

Success The target harbors some small resentment toward the authority figure you invoked. The target takes a –1 status penalty to saves against your emotion effects, but can attempt another Will save at the end of each of its turns, ending the spell's effect on a success.

Failure The target believes the resemblance and is susceptible to your influence, taking a –1 status penalty to saves against your emotion effects.

Critical Failure As failure, except the status penalty is –2.

Spell Effect: Appeal to Authority

Heightened (5th) You can target up to 4 creatures.

Traits

Uncommon

Something of uncommon rarity requires special training or comes from a particular culture or part of the world. Some character choices give access to uncommon options, and the GM can choose to allow access for anyone. Less is known about uncommon creatures than common creatures. They typically can't be summoned. The DC of Recall Knowledge checks related to these creature is increased by 2.

Concentrate

An action with this trait requires a degree of mental concentration and discipline.

Emotion

This effect alters a creature's emotions. Effects with this trait always have the mental trait as well. Creatures with special training or that have mechanical or artificial intelligence are immune to emotion effects.

Focus

Focus spells are a special type of spell attained directly from a branch of study, from a deity, or from another specific source. You can learn focus spells only through special class features or feats, rather than choosing them from a spell list. Furthermore, you cast focus spells using a special pool of Focus Pointsβ€”you can't prepare a focus spell in a spell slot or use your spell slots to cast focus spells; similarly, you can't spend your Focus Points to cast spells that aren't focus spells.

Mental

A mental effect can alter the target's mind. It has no effect on an object or a mindless creature.

Subtle

A spell with the subtle trait can be cast without incantations and doesn't have obvious manifestations.

Wizard

This indicates abilities from the wizard class.
