Using ancient magic, you shape the words you speak into the primal sounds of water. You can ask questions of and receive answers from a body of water or the rain. While water isn't intelligent, you speak with the natural spirits within the water, which have a personality colored by the type of water as well as the activity and movement of the water. Water's perspective, perception, and knowledge give it a worldview different enough from a human's that it doesn't consider the same details important. Rain is fleeting and knows only what it's currently touching. It can direct you toward unique silhouettes or structures or find a hidden place under a city as rain washes through the sewers. A body of water's perspective is shaped by its size and age. A lake might remember when a fisherman drowned within them, but the ocean will likely only recall the most significant of events, such as a city sinking beneath their waves.

Traits

Common

Anything that doesn't list another rarity trait (uncommon, rare, or unique) automatically has the common trait. This rarity indicates that an ability, item, or spell is available to all players who meet the prerequisites for it. A creature of this rarity is generally known and can be summoned with the appropriate summon spell.

Concentrate

An action with this trait requires a degree of mental concentration and discipline.

Manipulate

You must physically manipulate an item or make gestures to use an action with this trait. Creatures without a suitable appendage can't perform actions with this trait. Manipulate actions often trigger reactions.

Water

Effects with the water trait either manipulate or conjure water. Those that manipulate water have no effect in an area without water. Creatures with this trait consist primarily of water or have a connection to magical water.
