Cast Two Actions
Range 60 feet
Target 1 living creature
Duration varies
Saving Throw Fortitude

You necrotize part of a creature's body, harming them and debilitating them as their body putrefies, mimicking the natural process of decay. The target takes 12d6 void damage and one of the following debilitations; roll 1d4 #Necrotize to randomly determine which. The effects depend on their Fortitude save.

  1. Bones The target's bones necrotize and become spongy and weak, giving them weakness 3 to bludgeoning damage.

  2. Joints The target's joints necrotize, making its movements ungainly and clumsy. They become Clumsy 1.

  3. Legs The target's legs (or any other limbs associated with forms of movement) necrotize, making it harder for the creature to move. The target takes a –10-foot status penalty to their Speeds.

  4. Muscles The target's muscles necrotize, rotting away. The target becomes Enfeebled 1.

Critical Success The target is unaffected.

Success The target takes half damage and the debilitation lasts until the end of your next turn.

Spell Effect: Necrotize (Success)

Failure The target takes full damage and the debilitation lasts for 1 minute.

Spell Effect: Necrotize (Failure)

Critical Failure The target takes double damage, and you can pick a second debilitation to apply, in addition to the one you rolled randomly. Both debilitations last for 1 minute.

Heightened (+1) The damage increases by 2d6.

A creature of this rarity is generally known and can be summoned with the appropriate summon spell.

Concentrate

Manipulate

You must physically manipulate an item or make gestures to use an action with this trait. Creatures without a suitable appendage can't perform actions with this trait. Manipulate actions often trigger reactions.

Void
