Trigger A creature targets your familiar with an attack.
Your eyes widen as you watch the attack, slowing it down in your mind as you look at the possibilities that lie ahead. Reaching out, you twist the strands of fate, creating a glitch in this instance to protect your vulnerable familiar. The target must attempt a Will save.
Success The creature is unaffected.
Failure The creature must roll twice and use the worse result on its attack roll; if its attack is a critical failure, the target takes 3d10 force damage.
Critical Failure The creature must roll twice and use the worse result on its attack roll; if its attack is a failure, the target takes 3d10 force damage.
Heightened (+1) The damage increases by 1d10.
Traits
Anything that doesn't list another rarity trait (uncommon, rare, or unique) automatically has the common trait. This rarity indicates that an ability, item, or spell is available to all players who meet the prerequisites for it. A creature of this rarity is generally known and can be summoned with the appropriate summon spell.
ConcentrateAn action with this trait requires a degree of mental concentration and discipline.
ForceEffects with this trait deal force damage or create objects made of pure magical force.
MisfortuneA misfortune effect detrimentally alters how you roll your dice. You can never have more than one misfortune effect alter a single roll. If multiple misfortune effects would apply, the GM decides which is worse and applies it. If a fortune effect and a misfortune effect would apply to the same roll, the two cancel each other out, and you roll normally.
