Throneglass is an incredibly rare resource created during the violence of Earthfall 10,000 years ago, when the impact of falling stars enhanced certain shattered panes of green glass built into the architecture of important buildings in Azlant—particularly the Imperial Palace. As a material, throneglass is as strong as steel, but the ancient methods of crafting it into weapons have long been lost. Low-grade throneglass offers no additional benefit to a weapon crafted from it other than the cosmetic and intrinsic value of the precious material, but standard-grade and high-grade throneglass can retain psychic power and then release it through a strike.

When a creature wielding a standard-grade or high-grade throneglass weapon succeeds at a saving throw against a mental effect, the weapon stores some of that energy and holds it for a future attack. A standard-grade weapon can hold this energy for 1 round before it dissipates harmlessly, while a high-grade one can hold the energy for 1 minute. The next time you Strike a creature with a throneglass weapon with stored energy, the creature struck must attempt a Will save (DC 24 for standard-grade throneglass, or DC 35 for high-grade throneglass) to avoid becoming Stupefied 1 for 1 round (or Stupefied 2 on a critical failure).

Traits

Rare

This rarity indicates that a rules element is very difficult to find in the game world. A rare feat, spell, item or the like is available to players only if the GM decides to include it in the game, typically through discovery during play. Creatures with this trait are rare. They typically can't be summoned. The DC of Recall Knowledge checks related to these creatures is increased by 5.

Precious

Valuable materials with special properties have the precious trait. They can be substituted for base materials when you Craft items.
