Golden Wings (True)Equipment 17
Source Pathfinder Lost Omens High Seas
Price 14,000 gp
Weight 2 bulk
This pair of huge wings is crafted from numerous feathers made of a lightweight, golden magical alloy. When activated, the wings emit a melodic sound and a shimmering glow.
Activate—Assisted Flight 2 (manipulate)
Frequency once per day
Effect For the next 10 minutes, you can [/act leap] 20 feet, using the wings to propel yourself. You must land on a space with solid ground. For the duration, you also emit a bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for the next 20 feet. You take a –2 item penalty to Stealth checks to [/act hide] and [/act sneak].
You can also use an action to flap the wings to glide slowly toward the ground, 5 feet down and up to 20 feet forward through the air. As long as you spend 1 action gliding each round and haven't yet reached the ground, you remain in the air at the end of your turn.
You gain a fly Speed equal to your Speed or 25 feet, whichever is greater, for the duration.
Effect: Assisted Flight
Traits
This rarity indicates that a rules element is very difficult to find in the game world. A rare feat, spell, item or the like is available to players only if the GM decides to include it in the game, typically through discovery during play. Creatures with this trait are rare. They typically can't be summoned. The DC of Recall Knowledge checks related to these creatures is increased by 5.
InvestedA character can invest only 10 magical items that have the invested trait. None of the magical effects of the item apply if the character hasn't invested it, nor can it be activated, though the character still gains any normal benefits from wearing the physical item (like a hat keeping rain off their head).
MagicalSomething with the magical trait is imbued with magical energies not tied to a specific tradition of magic. Some items or effects are closely tied to a particular tradition of magic. In these cases, the item has the arcane, divine, occult, or primal trait instead of the magical trait. Any of these traits indicate that the item is magical.
