Source Pathfinder Impossible Magic
Price 150 gp

These twin tattoos, each depicting the ornate wing of a butterfly or moth, are usually placed upon your palms or wrists. While sleeping, this tattoo crafts lucid dreams that don't disturb your rest; However, when danger arises, these dreams shift to alert you to trouble and shroud you in camouflaging dream-stuff. As a result, you do not take any penalty to Perception checks when asleep. When asleep, you also gain a +2 circumstance to your Will saves against effects with the dream or sleep traits.

Activate—Wake the Dream 1 (illusion, manipulate, mental)

Effect By touching the two halves of the tattoo together, the wings expand to show a small illusory rendition of any effects with the dream or sleep traits you are currently subject to. Onlookers (including yourself) gain a +1 status bonus to checks to Identify Magic of any spells or magical effects with the dream or sleep traits for 1 round.

Special An adjacent ally can also Activate this effect by touching the two halves of your tattoo together if you are willing or Unconscious.

Traits

Common

Anything that doesn't list another rarity trait (uncommon, rare, or unique) automatically has the common trait. This rarity indicates that an ability, item, or spell is available to all players who meet the prerequisites for it. A creature of this rarity is generally known and can be summoned with the appropriate summon spell.

Invested

A character can invest only 10 magical items that have the invested trait. None of the magical effects of the item apply if the character hasn't invested it, nor can it be activated, though the character still gains any normal benefits from wearing the physical item (like a hat keeping rain off their head).

Magical

Something with the magical trait is imbued with magical energies not tied to a specific tradition of magic. Some items or effects are closely tied to a particular tradition of magic. In these cases, the item has the arcane, divine, occult, or primal trait instead of the magical trait. Any of these traits indicate that the item is magical.

Tattoo

A tattoo is a type of item that is drawn or cut into a creature's skin and usually takes the form of images or symbols.
