Site Bound

The xenia spirit is bound to Ataiosiphon's house.

Appeased by Hospitality

Displaying the hospitality that a xenia spirit was denied in life can avert its wrath. A plate of food, mug of fine drink, or similar fare held in one hand can be Raised as a Shield and used to Shield Block the spirit's attacks as if it were a buckler; a creature can Shield Block in this way even if they lack the feat.

Libation Weakness

Pouring fine drink onto a xenia spirit can harm it. This functions like an alchemical weapon with a range increment of 10 feet and the bomb, consumable, spirit, and splash traits. A drink worth at least 1 cp (such as common ale) deals 1d4[spirit],(1[splash]) spirit1d4 spirit damage and 1 spirit splash damage. A drink worth at least 1 sp (such as a bottle of wine) deals 1d8[spirit],(1[splash]) spirit1d8 spirit damage and 1 spirit splash damage. As an Interact action, a creature can anoint a weapon with fine drink; the weapon's next successful Strike damages, the xenia spirit as though it had a ghost touch rune.

Rejuvenation (divine)

When a ghost is destroyed, it re-forms after 2d4 days within the location it's bound to, fully healed. A ghost can be permanently destroyed only if someone determines the reason for its existence and sets right whatever prevents the spirit from resting.

Void Healing

A creature with void healing draws health from void energy rather than vitality energy. It is damaged by vitality damage and is not healed by vitality healing effects. It does not take void damage, and it is healed by void effects that heal undead.

Inhabit Object One Action

The ghost possesses an object of size Large or smaller within 20 feet, making it an animated object. This animated object's level can be no higher than the ghost's level -2. If the target object is being held by a creature, the bearer can attempt a will save to prevent the possession.

This possession ends when the object is destroyed or the ghost leaves it. At this point, the ghost reappears in the object's square and can't Inhabit an Object again for 1d4 rounds.

For DCs, use the high spell DC of the ghost's level.

Starving Invocation Two Actions (auditory, divine)

The xenia spirit laments the hospitality it was denied, awakening painful hunger in others. Each living creature within 30 feet must attempt a DC 21 fortitude save.

Critical Success The creature is immune for 24 hours.

Success The creature is unaffected.

Failure The creature is Sickened 1. A creature sickened in this way can ingest food and drink, and it can only recover from the sickened condition by spending an Interact action to consume food within reach.

Critical Failure As failure, but the creature is Sickened 2.

Traits

Uncommon

Something of uncommon rarity requires special training or comes from a particular culture or part of the world. Some character choices give access to uncommon options, and the GM can choose to allow access for anyone. Less is known about uncommon creatures than common creatures. They typically can't be summoned. The DC of Recall Knowledge checks related to these creature is increased by 2.

Incorporeal

An incorporeal creature or object has no physical form. It can pass through solid objects, including walls. When inside an object, an incorporeal creature can't perceive, attack, or interact with anything outside the object, and if it starts its turn in an object, it is slowed 1 until the end of its turn. A corporeal and an incorporeal creature can pass through one another, but they can't end their movement in each other's space. An incorporeal creature can't attempt Strength-based checks against physical creatures or objects—only against incorporeal ones—unless those objects have the ghost touch property rune. Likewise, a corporeal creature can't attempt Strength-based checks against incorporeal creatures or objects. Incorporeal creatures usually have immunity to effects or conditions that require a physical body, like disease, poison, and precision damage. They usually have resistance against all damage (except force damage, spirit damage, and damage from Strikes with the ghost touch property rune), with double the resistance against non-magical damage.

Spirit

Effects with this trait can affect creatures with spiritual essence and might deal spirit damage. A creature with this trait is defined by its spiritual essence. Spirit creatures often lack a material form.

Undead

Once living, these creatures were infused after death with void energy and soul-corrupting unholy magic. When reduced to 0 Hit Points, an undead creature is destroyed. Undead creatures are damaged by vitality energy and are healed by void energy, and don't benefit from healing vitality effects.
