Echolocation

The bat can "see" using its hearing at the listed range, allowing it to function just as well in darkness.

Screeching Gust Two Actions

The shadow bat flaps its wings and lets out a mighty screech, creating a cone of tearing winds and piercing sound. All creatures in a 15-foot cone take 3d6 sonic damage, with a DC 16 reflex saving throw. Creatures that fail are pushed backwards 10 feet by the wind.

Using its wings in this way exhausts the shadow bat, causing it to fall harmlessly to the ground immediately after using this ability and preventing it from taking flight or using Screeching Gust again for 1d4 rounds.

The shadowy magical energies related to some wicked deities, evil forces, or the shadowy plane of existence called the Netherworld sometimes manifest in the form of corrupted living creatures. The shadow bat has the physique of a giant bat made of shadows with the magical ability to create powerful gusts of wind.

Traits

Common

Anything that doesn't list another rarity trait (uncommon, rare, or unique) automatically has the common trait. This rarity indicates that an ability, item, or spell is available to all players who meet the prerequisites for it. A creature of this rarity is generally known and can be summoned with the appropriate summon spell.

Beast

A creature similar to an animal but with an Intelligence modifier of –3 or higher is usually a beast. Unlike an animal, a beast might be able to speak and reason.
