Trigger The Ghostlight Sister would roll a save against an auditory or sonic effect

Effect The Ghostlight Sister performs a refrain that deflects sonic vibrations and rolls a performance check in place of the triggering saving throw. Sonic feedback rebounds from the effect, dealing 1d6 sonic damage to the source of the triggering effect if the Performance check succeeded or 2d6 sonic damage to the Ghostlight Sister on a failure.

Void Healing

A creature with void healing draws health from void energy rather than vitality energy. It is damaged by vitality damage and is not healed by vitality healing effects. It does not take void damage, and it is healed by void effects that heal undead.

Soloist's Curse Two Actions (curse, occult)

Requirements Trio's Torment is in effect

Effect The Ghostlight Sister performs a haunting solo. This sustains an ongoing Trio's Torment if at least one other Ghostlight Sister is taking part. The Ghostlight Sister targets a single creature she can see within 60 feet as the focus of her unsettling music; that creature must attempt a DC 24 will save with the following effects. The Ghostlight Sister can't use Soloist's Curse again for 1 minute; if all Ghostlight Sisters in a Trio's Torment can't use Soloist's Curse, then the ongoing Trio's Torment ends and all three Ghostlight Sisters can't use Trio's Torment for 1 minute.

Critical Success The creature is unaffected.

Success The creature takes 3d6 mental damage and becomes Clumsy 1 for 1 round as the music dredges up what feel like repressed memories of forgotten agonies.

Failure As success, but 6d6 mental damage and clumsy 1 for 1 hour.

Critical Failure As failure, but 12d6 mental damage and clumsy 1 with an unlimited duration.

Trio's Torment Two Actions (auditory, emotion, fear, mental)

The Ghostlight Sister begins playing a catchy song that compels others to dance. If other Ghostlight Sisters within 30 feet of her want to join the Trio's Torment, the Ghostlight Sister can delay to begin the torment. In this case, the effect occurs after the last Ghostlight Sister uses Trio's Torment or when one of them chooses to complete that round of the torment. Each non–Ghostlight Sister in a 50-foot emanation must attempt a DC 24 will save; for each additional Ghostlight Sister involved, the save DC increases by 1 (to a maximum of DC 26). The effect lasts until the end of the next round, but if all of the Ghostlight Sisters choose to Sustain the effect on all affected creatures that remain within the emanation, the effect persists for one additional round.

Critical Success The creature is unaffected and is temporarily immune for 1 hour.

Success The creature can't use actions with the move trait except to dance, which uses the Stride action to move up to half the creature's Speed. If the creature has other Speeds, it can also dance using those modes of travel. If it's after dark, the creature becomes Frightened 1.

Failure As success, and the creature must spend at least 1 action each turn dancing; the creature becomes Frightened 2.

Critical Failure As failure, but the creature becomes Frightened 3.

Traits

Unique

A rules element with this trait is one-of-a-kind. The DC of Recall Knowledge checks related to creatures with this trait is increased by 10.

Undead

Once living, these creatures were infused after death with void energy and soul-corrupting unholy magic. When reduced to 0 Hit Points, an undead creature is destroyed. Undead creatures are damaged by vitality energy and are healed by void energy, and don't benefit from healing vitality effects.

Unholy

Effects with the unholy trait are tied to powerful magical forces of cruelty and sin. They often have stronger effects on holy creatures. Creatures with this trait are strongly devoted to unholy causes, and often have weakness to holy. If a creature with weakness to unholy uses an unholy item or effect, it takes damage from its weakness.
