Lifesense 60 feet

Lifesense allows a monster to sense the vital essence of living and undead creatures within the listed range. The sense can distinguish between the vitality energy animating living creatures and the void energy animating undead creatures, much as sight distinguishes colors.

Aggravating Aura (acid, aura, mental)

10 feet. Acidic vapor surrounds the caustic wraith, making other creatures' bodies feel raw and especially sensitive to pain. A creature that begins in the area must succeed at a DC 28 will save or gain weakness 3 to all damage for 1 round (weakness 5 on a critical failure).

Effect: Aggravating Aura

Void Healing

A creature with void healing draws health from void energy rather than vitality energy. It is damaged by vitality damage and is not healed by vitality healing effects. It does not take void damage, and it is healed by void effects that heal undead.

Dissolve From the Inside Two Actions

The caustic wraith reaches into the body of a creature within 10 feet, melting its organs and inflicting pain. The target takes 4d8 acid damage with a DC 28 fortitude save. On a critical failure, the creature is also Sickened 2.

Drain Life (divine)

When the caustic wraith damages a living creature with its caustic touch Strike, the wraith gains 10 temporary Hit Points, and the target must succeed at a DC 28 fortitude save or become Drained 1. Further damage dealt by the caustic wraith increases the drained condition value by 1 on a failed save, to a maximum of drained 4.

Effect: Drain Life

Wraith Spawn (divine, unholy)

A living humanoid slain by a caustic wraith rises as a wraith spawn after 1d4 rounds. This wraith spawn is under the command of the wraith that killed it. It doesn't have drain life or wraith spawn and becomes Clumsy 2. After 24 hours, the wraith spawn dissipates and is destroyed.

Traits

Uncommon

Something of uncommon rarity requires special training or comes from a particular culture or part of the world. Some character choices give access to uncommon options, and the GM can choose to allow access for anyone. Less is known about uncommon creatures than common creatures. They typically can't be summoned. The DC of Recall Knowledge checks related to these creature is increased by 2.

Incorporeal

An incorporeal creature or object has no physical form. It can pass through solid objects, including walls. When inside an object, an incorporeal creature can't perceive, attack, or interact with anything outside the object, and if it starts its turn in an object, it is slowed 1 until the end of its turn. A corporeal and an incorporeal creature can pass through one another, but they can't end their movement in each other's space. An incorporeal creature can't attempt Strength-based checks against physical creatures or objects—only against incorporeal ones—unless those objects have the ghost touch property rune. Likewise, a corporeal creature can't attempt Strength-based checks against incorporeal creatures or objects. Incorporeal creatures usually have immunity to effects or conditions that require a physical body, like disease, poison, and precision damage. They usually have resistance against all damage (except force damage, spirit damage, and damage from Strikes with the ghost touch property rune), with double the resistance against non-magical damage.

Undead

Once living, these creatures were infused after death with void energy and soul-corrupting unholy magic. When reduced to 0 Hit Points, an undead creature is destroyed. Undead creatures are damaged by vitality energy and are healed by void energy, and don't benefit from healing vitality effects.

Unholy

Effects with the unholy trait are tied to powerful magical forces of cruelty and sin. They often have stronger effects on holy creatures. Creatures with this trait are strongly devoted to unholy causes, and often have weakness to holy. If a creature with weakness to unholy uses an unholy item or effect, it takes damage from its weakness.

Wraith

A wraith is an incorporeal undead creature infused with void energy and driven by a hatred of all life.
