Tremorsense allows a monster to feel the vibrations through a solid surface caused by movement. It is an imprecise sense with a limited range (listed in the ability). Tremorsense functions only if the monster is on the same surface as the subject, and only if the subject is moving along (or burrowing through) the surface.
Icicle HideA creature that hits a bergworm with an unarmed Strike or a non-reach melee Strike takes 1d8 piercing damage (DC 17 reflex save). On a critical failure, the creature also takes 1d4 persistent, cold damage.
Gnaw
Requirements The bergworm has a creature Grabbed from its jaws Strike
Effect The bergworm gnaws on the target creature, burrowing through its flesh and freezing its skin. This deals 1d10[piercing],1d6 cold1d10 piercing damage and 1d6 cold damage. A creature that takes cold damage in this way is Clumsy 1 until it receives any kind or amount of healing.
Ice Burrow 20 feetThe bergworm can Burrow through ice or snow with a Speed of 20 feet. It moves at its full burrow Speed.
Grab
Requirements The monster's last action was a successful Strike that lists Grab in its damage entry, or the monster has a creature Grabbed or Restrained
Effect If used after a Strike, the monster attempts to [/act grapple] the creature using the body part it attacked with. This attempt neither applies nor counts toward the creature's multiple attack penalty.
The monster can instead use Grab and choose one creature it's grabbing or restraining with an appendage that has Grab to automatically extend that condition to the end of the monster's next turn.
Traits
This rarity indicates that a rules element is very difficult to find in the game world. A rare feat, spell, item or the like is available to players only if the GM decides to include it in the game, typically through discovery during play. Creatures with this trait are rare. They typically can't be summoned. The DC of Recall Knowledge checks related to these creatures is increased by 5.
AnimalAn animal is a creature with a relatively low intelligence. It typically doesn't have an Intelligence attribute modifier over –4, can't speak languages, and can't be trained in Intelligence-based skills.
